A. football gloves are fantastic in soccer, the only problem is they don't increase the surface area of your hands like soccer gloves.

Q. The two games look very alike to me and I am presuming there are some differences. Otherwise why bother to call them different names. Also, some of the American players wear funny looking kind of apron things and I have no idea what these are for. Q. How do the players know that they have to go out or in? Do the coaches point to them or do they have predefined signs for substitution packages? Or do they show their numbers on the sideline?

A. Coaches make the call of who goes in or out. The player going in usually needs to tell the player that needs to go out. Someone is responsible for counting in the huddle to make sure there are 11 guys. And certain plays have certain players that should know if they need to be on the field or not. There are different ways to do it.
