A. Please don't sit in your villa for five days because you're worried about safety. There's always the small, but persistent chance of another bombing. However, the same could be said about almost any major city or site of previous terrorist attack. Bali on the whole is an extremely safe place, and apart from the bombings that have happened intermittently you don't have much to worry about.
If you're that worried, why not get off the beaten path and avoid all the tourist traps anyway? Your vacation probably won't be ruined if you don't go out every night to nightclubs packed with foreigners on Kuta beach, and you might actually learn something about Bali and Indonesia. Again, there's always the threat, but don't let that ruin your vacation.

How do you know if a Red Bali Starfish is still alive?
Q. She is on my live rock but dosent move at all. But she is stuch on the rock not just laying on it. Is it normal for them to stay in one place? My chocolate chip one moves around all the time exept when he is eating.
A. usually the first sign is a loss of color. i have seen starfish stay in one place (a particular red fromsa i had) for weeks. looks for color loss, the a lot of times they will melt. this is espically true for chocolate chips.

A. if it is stuck then it is still alive, starfish have sticky pads all down each of their five "legs" when they die these pads quickly deteriorate and loose their suction abilities so if it is stuck then it is alive
What is the best way to get from Bali to Thailand?
Q. Hi! My friend and I are planning a vacation to Jakarta, Bangkok, Bali and hopefully some Thailand beaches in November and December. Does anyone know cheap airlines or other ways to get between Bali and Thailand? We could go from Bali to Bangkok or one of the Thai beaches and make our way back up to Bangkok--open to any advice!
A. You might want to compare different airliners. Check travelocity, expedia or a travel agent. It might all depend on timing.
