Q. I play competitive soccer and am 12 years old. I really want to develop my dribbling/ball control skills because my coach doesn't do any of this. So I was wondering what are some tips/drills (even dvd's) that would be good to practice this. I really admire Messi, Marta, Ronaldinho and C. Ronaldo. They all seem to be able to maneuver in different directions with speed and skill while hopping over the feet of defenders!! How do they do it? Much appreciated!!!
A. i think players like messi ronaldinho etc are born with it,but you can definitley improve it,basically you need too make the ball your best friend and don't worry you are still young so you have years left.

How does Messi keep the ball so close to him when he sprints?
Q. I always practice but when I get passed a defender there is always some space and another defender gets it. Messi keeps it so close he runs through the defence how does he do it. Does he tap it lightly then sprint and tap it lightly again. Soccer tryouts are coming up and need to practice this.

A. Most professional sportsmen have strict diet and training regimes.They train up to 4 hours daily,eat healthy,don't drink in excess,don't smoke and adding talent is what makes great footballers.Messi is fit,but Ronaldo,who is physically fitter,does not drink nor smoke.Adding that to their talent only makes them physically superior to a normal person.
